I have searched everywhere for anything Bayle Glass Jar related and I am coming up with nothing. Can anyone give any insight to my newest find that could help me in dating this gem? Thank you! IMG_4365.jpg

First off, welcome to the site..:hello:

Have you been searching for Bayle, or Baylor? You'll want to research
the history of Bayle Peanut Butter, as it is considered as the first peanut
butter ever made and sold commercially.

I believe that initially it was in a tin tub, and so far I've found no mention
of it being in a glass jar. They began selling it around 1890, but as to when
they began to pack it in jars, I have no idea.

This page will give you some history:

Here are some pics of another Bayle jar..

I'm not an expert, but some here are. I'm thinking you may have a fairly rare jar there,
just because I can find nothing like it.

Hopefully, a couple of the folks that really know their poop about
glass will stop by, and then maybe a date can be pinned down.
