If members don't want for sale/WTB ads, they should moderate the
message board.

i.e. the cops can't write you a ticket, unless the speed limit it
posted and enforced.

enforced on the net means MODERATE YOUR SITE. Otherwise anyone who
plops down $10 a month for a dial-up service, can and will post on it.

Yes. To some extent e-bay is ruining value of collectibles. But the other view is that the collectibles have got a new platform to be displayed on, so that interested people from around the globe can view these antiques and can buy them.
