Re: Chino Valley, Az Hunting Pals Wanted

Why is it called a rimfire? because the rim is the only place the primer is, like a.22 rimfire. One of my hobbies is reloading and gun smithing, so i do know about shells. there were never any 45.70 rimfire shells. if the firing pin struck close to the center there was something wrong with the rifle. If it had have been a rimfire rifle

Hi Stacey

Thought I might try getting back to the original purpose of this thread...

Glad to hear you're in a position to get back into MD'ing! I was waiting to see the responses you got because I have some time off in June, and was considering a trip down your way. But maybe mid-June is not such a good time for Arizona? I see your avg. temps get into the 100's that time of year!?? I'm from WA state, and that kind of heat might do me in!! ;D

I've never been to Arizona yet, but will check out some of the links on this thread, and will be anxiously awaiting future posts (on your topic).

If I do make it down there (might have to wait til fall) I'd love to meet up with you and hunt together.

Good luck & HH!
Kilika
