    Native American Brass Tags

I was in our local library today reading an article on Geronimo. It appears that when he was held at the San Carlos Reservation in 1877 he had to wear a brass dog tag type of ID. I would only assume all of them had to wear such an ID tag If so, have any of them ever been found by metal detecting. Pictures anyone.

You know, I had never heard that until tonight... interesting!
I know I've not seen any tags like that before, but it would be awesome to see some!!!

    Hi Johhnycat!

Never stumbled on any info on those. Sounds interesting! Do you have any further or the info on the article that you'd be willing to post? Sure makes you wonder if you're keeping your eyes open good enough
I know it's here, just need a bigger coil!

I will return to the library on Monday too see if I can find that particular magazine and article. If I can I will post the name of the magazine and the author. Hopefully they haven't moved things around because at this point I can't remember the name of the mag., just the location.
