    ar. ghost town

    south of ElDorado Ar. go to Junction City turn left on state line road go 3 miles you are there the church was the old school also they had a lot of gathering and picnics under the big trees in frount of the church the spring is behind the church a little path down the hill the stores and big hotel was on north side of the road even with the church old shingle mill was past the church east one fourth mile on that little creek on north side of road. Now from church go back west 100 yards to spearsville road go south about half mile first house on left J.D. Thurmom old gentelman 80 plus but very active and friendly he knows a lot about Blanchard springs. from church go north about a fourth of a mile or so old cemetary about 300 yards west of the road out in the woods. The grave MARKERS are old iron ore rocks KINDLY HARD TO FIND .But i bet J D can show you just where it is .there was a article in the El Dorado news times and some pitcures of Blanchard Springs about 40 or 50 years ago good luck.

    Cool story...This is Union County ,correct?

    yes union county in the south part of the county . people came from far away to take baths in the springs there maybe some gold coins there?
