anyone familiar with the arkansas state fair grounds in little rock

I remember reading on here about someone detecting the state fair grounds in little rock. I now live about 1 mile from there but it looks like there are locked fences and gates all over the place and I am hesitating to have my metal detector shipped to me. Just wondering if anybody knows about rules and accesibility. I sure do like fair grounds, and there are hella parking areas.

I'm not sure about the fair grounds, but try War Memorial stadium on Markham..it's over by the zoo. The dirt/grassy area around the stadium is used for parking and there is a large park nearby also.
