recreational gold panning in arkansas

curious if anyone know of some good spots to do recreational panning for gold in arkansas ,not to get rich but just find some good color

I know they use to meet in West Fork and they have outings every month.

I don't of any suitable areas to pan for gold. There was a gold mining operation in Rogers,AR.

Traces of gold were found, but the operation failed. That's about all I know about gold in Arkansas.

Also went with the GPAA down near Evansville and found very small color there. It seems that the most color is being found along and in the Arkansas and its tribs.

I have persoanlly found some very small color in teh Bentonville area.

Yawp! If you are in or near the Rogers, Bentonville area you may find some in the nearby streams . Very small Like fine ground pepper.
