Billandlisa, I'm curious where you got this info. I live in Norfork in Baxter County. This is not a ghost town nor has it ever been a ghost town. It has never had 8,500 population. We are 12 miles south of Mountain Home not 4. We do have the Wolf House which was built around 1816 by Major Jacob Wolf, Indian agent, which was a territorial courthouse at one time. This site is off limits to metal detecting. We are located at the fork of the Northfork and White river and a great trout fishing area. A few old buildings have been restored which are antigue stores. Very few places to metal detect that are not on private property. I appreciate your posting but just wondered where this info came from.
