Need help identifying Hermann Dudley Murphy Oil Painting?

Hi all,
I have a painting signed H Dudley Murphy
Still Life, symbol of circle with M in it under name.
But the u in Dudley looks like v, can
anyone tell me whether his signature looked
like that?
Any help appreciated.

Yes that's the way he signed his name and the circle with the "m" was his monogram or cipher.That's not to say it's an original though.Does it look like this?

I noticed you said it's labeled "spring flowers" on the back of it,in another forum."Zinnias and Marigolds" is the closest I could find.

It is of Still Life
Tulips and carnations in a vase.
Which I could show picture but
it says my pics are too large.

Murphy frames selling for $75,000
How can I find out if the frame that Murphy painting is in is
from that time period?
