Tried my hand at carving not real good at it but it works for what I intended it for a hiking stick. 385308_328220627194456_1573385278_n.jpg 382961_328221873860998_1418936125_n.jpg 383670_328221630527689_2086052127_n.jpg 378580_328220337194485_1544887440_n.jpg 312881_328221323861053_283610819_n.jpg 100_4315.JPG 100_4322.JPG 100_4321.JPG 100_4325.JPG 100_4345.JPG 100_4349.JPG 309065_328217897194729_2062508641_n.jpg 100_4339.JPG The crosses are scroll sawn.

The work looks good! You have patience. The tools look good also. You would probably love pyrography (woodburning). It requires the same patience. Frank...

Good job Back of the boat. The crosses are beautiful and the stick is way better than my first attempt. Cool stuff.

Nice work...and practice only improves the end results.

The problem is that you're never satisfied and keep trying to improve...

I always wanted a Carousel horse but never had the money to buy one...so I carved a full scale horse...the effort became my daily mental relaxation program...

Keep up the work.

Nice work there Back of the boat:icon_thumleft:I use to carve silver coins into pendents with a pocket knife and needle files. No pictures unfortunately.Hope you made the walking sticks taller than yourself. Its bad news hiking with a short walking stick, get tripped up the end of it could end up being shoved in your face.Bad news if your in the middle of no where.

Art is Art! Makes no difference if it is on canvas, fine art paper, carved in wood, carved in stone, etc, etc, etc,
Sure, I have made furniture and refinished furniture and there is art in the process. Just open a thread.
