What is a standard Australian celebration for Australia Day?

Half of us get p....d and the other half try. No seriously public entertainment is the go. Parades, sports etc. Only thing is our bush fires with so many deaths put a sour taste in our mouths. Australia felt the bush fire tragedy bad. Those stupid moron greenies are to blame. One guy was fined 50 grand for clearing native gums from close to his house, plus the local governments were too scared to back burn to clear nearby grasses to homes as they were scared of the greenies.
I hope that things have changed. But what can you do when high winds and 46 degrees ( about 110 degrees) occur.
I stuck my head out the kitchen door and felt the fiery wind and thought, nah we wont have anyone silly enough to light fires today. 210 now officially dead. Regards max

Yea, and the "greenies" all live in the city and can't keep a plant alive probebly...

Hopefully next year there will be no fires and you can all get super pissed!
