Hello all,
My son is in Al-Assad Iraq again and this time has some technology working for him.
While back home he got his Ham license and we tried comms from there to here as I am also a Ham, but no joy.
It will work but have to find some more info.
He does have a computer there and we tried Gmail but it was pretty broken up.
Then tried Skype.com and had a great voice/video chat!
Hope I am not abusing terms of service on Treasurenet for saying that.
But it was great to see and hear him.
He gets some leave to be here first of next month to see his daughter first start school.
I still have pic of him walking home from his first day at school. (2 blocks).
Am proud of him.
