So I see in the news 8 of them boys that were stationed in Ft. Carson got killed way off up in a corner of Afghanistan that pretty much don't make the news. I heard some of them refused to be medivacced out, as they wanted to stay there and fight. And they did. They all done good, and they all done their best, but it sounds like the odds were just too great there at first. Y'all keep them and their families in your thoughts.

Yes, unfortunately they did-that stinks. I saw another listed in the Gazette online that was just going to retire after 22 years, makes me sick.

I just thought they should get a mention. I didn't know em or nothin like that, but I sure comprehend the situation they were in. Anyway, them boys did their best, but their best wasn't good enough this time. They done good. Screw the politics involved with war; keep the regular soldier in mind.
