Fort Dix, NJ in '69 Many broke legs and drank "brasso" We sang we'll never see "71 when marching to tune of Johnny comes marching home. Could't use pepsi machine because motto was: "you got a lot to live" It was better than college ROTC but very serious as 300 flew away every 15 minutes. Drill Sgt. served me breakfast in bed for being expert with M16{a toy}. What a trip man. Then to Ft. Wood and Ben Harrison for AGC{Adjutant General Corps} school and met people from all over the world. Korea was my salvation and got a wife there. I often miss all my brothers.

In some cases yes it is true. But I think the days are coming to an end. With Iraq over and Afghanistan winding down deployments will ease up. My advise to you is maintain your PT and professional development. Attend every school you can. Learn you team leaders job now then learn your squad leaders and so on.

I've done some work with the K9 guys. Pretty cool job. Those dogs seem unpredictable though. They turn on the handlers pretty often.

Right now for MP K-9 is an identifyer of z6 MWD mil working dog. And yes some of the dogs are to say " timid" but do the job and they do it well. I have worked with EOD when deployed great bunch of guys. I always wanted to go EOD bit too old and too close to retirement
