One of my favorite cartoons is a view of peasants toiling in a rice field. If you look carefully you will see a large billboard with a picture of Mao Tse tung in the background.
Below this cartoon is another cartoon of peasants toiling in the same rice field. However, the picture on the large Bill board is that of. Chiang Kai shek
What binds each cartoon to the other is the caption at the top of each cartoon:
“The More Things Change, The Least They Change.”
While the change in leadership was dramatic, nothing changed for those who toiled.
If you have ever watched the film “Born on the Fourth of July”, it is obvious that veterans of the Vietnam War were not receiving proper care; they were entitled to from the Veterans Administration.
While the war/conflicts have shifted from Vietnam to the Middle East, Veterans are still not receiving the proper care they need and are entitled to.
Nothing has changed for the Veterans nor will it until the bureaucrats in charge of those programs are held accountable.
