To guys like us that is just what we do. We watch out for each other. To us, this is normal and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I remember when I got out in '68 and went to a Comm College, you could tell all the Vets as we were drinking coffee in the break area and the kids were drinking cokes. Someday I hope to run into a guy that was "In Counrty" in Nov 67 that remembers "Homerun" which was the call sign for the USS Leary, DD879. I have no idea how many lifes we saved with our gun support, but the biggest spot back was 150 feet, out of about 3000 rounds. FO's loved us. : )
