If you served in Vietnam aboard any ship Just type in the name and year put old blue water and a ships log might come up with a chart of the times it entered the 12 mile or less off the coast of Vietnam.

the problem is many navy personal were not exposed to agent orange but were exposed to dioxin due to ship board fires.

the navy ships had many things treated with PCBs as a fire ******ent and when exposed to fire they put off a dioxin known as PCDD that was as toxic as TCDD found in agent orange.

i have been trying to contact some vets from the USS Forrestal (CV-59)to tell them they were most likely exposed to PCDD from there fire not TCDD from the ships distillation plant.

Introduction to blue water navy carrier reports.
This shows when the carriers were within the 12 mile zone. I would suggest if you are putting in a clam for agent orange to copy your ships log and take it with you.

My first claim was denied over 5 years ago for Leukemia & diabetes.
So after President Donald Trump pass the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans act of 2019 I refiled in Aug.
I just got it a couple of days ago.
I had thought I would never ever get anything.
Thanks to Donald Trump.
I went out Saturday and bought a Buick Encore 2019 with only 28 miles on it.
Good luck to all veterans. DSCF4490.JPG DSCF4492.JPG

Wish my uncle could have got it before he passed away this year. He was diagnosed with it, but got no benefits via the VA, or compensation of any kind regarding a bio agent causing cancer and respiratory diseases. Sucks too. He fought it hard for 5 years, everytime his family thought he was on his death bed, he’d be up and at them the next morning.

Some were too busy going on an Apologetic World Wide Tour for being so mean of a country.

I'm sorry to hear about your Uncle's passing, and I both Thank him and Salute him for his service. I have a neighbor just up the street that was in Nam in the Army. He has cancer that was brought on by agent orange. All these Vets that have suffered from this should be taken care of by the very same Government and Country that they were serving.

Exactly. I’ll tell you how sorry they were, until now they didn’t even admit it was from that. I remember going to the dr with him, and they passed it off as being work related or hereditary. His younger brother died from the same thing, went and joined a year after him, he got hurt during the war, sent home, and the damn VA buried him in the national Cemetery, but during the funeral they had him in a rented coffin, and graveside the same thing. When we were leaving the funeral company placed him in a cardboard coffin and lowered him down into the vault. The VA was too cheap to purchase his coffin, let alone offer medical care. He never even was awarded a metal for getting wounded during combat.

Been fighting VA for over 5 years. I fit the time frame and area for Korea Agent orange. But lived near Seoul and worked the ASA sites at DMZ. All classified so they say I cant prove was at the DMZ. No classified records found. ??????? gave up

You’re in the same boat my uncle was. The one who was the younger one that died before who fought it for years. He was in classified DMZ areas, and somehow the government still considers them classified, why? Who knows, maybe they were doing some shady ****, but it’s killing American service men, so they better get their act straight

If he was married his spouse can fill a claim. If he filled for cancer and never received it and it was related to ship board duty in the 12 mile limit of vietnam coast.
