To My Fellow Veterans on Veteran's Day

"I, Terry R. Soloman, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." - 1973

Pouring rain all day but I don't care. Today is a holiday - but all days are a holiday since I retired. I did meet a new friend yesterday, living in an early 1800's house, with a really big dog that wanted to lay in my lap. He settled for just making me pet him

Thanks, Terry! All our careers, my buddy Dave (Army), and me (Air Force), while out in the cold November weather, would wish each other a "Happy Veteran's Day". Then we'd start laughing, as we thought of all the non-veterans who got the day off, and then we'd get back to work, shoveling concrete, tying rebar, and packing formwork around on "our day".

    Tnx! OORAH!! ╦╦C
Most of my screw-up decisions in my life were to appease my friends, not my conscience. Sorry, but going forward, some of you will no longer call me friend.
