I'm doing pretty good so far this week.

Found a small 10k ring on Nokomis beach yesterday, and this morning found a nice 10k gold necklace near sharkeys on Venice Beach.

Found lots of coins, but the ring and necklace are the kind of things that give you a reason to get up each morning and give it another try. (Plus being on the beach is always a reward in itself).

It was unusually cool for this time of year on the beach - but no complaints from me.

Holy cow, that is awesome :icon_sunny: :icon_sunny: :icon_sunny:

Is the cross marked 14K gold too? Do you think the silver middle part of the cross is white gold?

I can't find a marking on the cross, but the clasp on the cross is marked 'ma 10k'. See image below.

Bill, nice finds. In or out of the water? Either way it's cold :D

Today was a negative low tide so I searched the lowest part of the beach first, but not in the water.

I found several coins, but no gold or silver.

Then as the tide came back in, I went up on the dry sand, and that's where I found the necklace.

Hey Bill,

Beautiful Pendant brother, just love the site of Gold on the beach coming out of the sand! Especially gold snakes!

Was that like draped over the scoop when you brought it up? I love it when that happens.
Real nice.

Real nice.

Actually, it was partially exposed on the surface.

When the detector sounded off, I looked down trying to pinpoint the source, and I saw a small part of the gold chain right on the surface.

I bent over and quickly picked it up, and tried not to jump up and down and make a scene!

Luckily it was early in the morning, and just me and the birds on the beach.
