Heading to Pensacola this weekend

Any suggestions metal detecting in Pensacola? I will be there Friday night through Monday and would like to go out a couple mornings to do some beach detecting. I will probably be limited to dry sand since I will be using my Tejon. Thanks for any tips ahead of time!

Regarding Pensacola . . .

There will be plenty of people with detectors at the main public beach near the pier. That area is heavily detected each day, and finds are often few and far between.

But if you go back toward the bridge, and pull off into the picnic area by the sound right before the bridge, that area is usually good for coins and rings.

You won't need to get in the water - just detect around the picnic pavilions and the small swimming beach.

Not many people know to detect there, so the area is often rich in finds.
