Top 10 Beach/Shallow Water MD areas

I am looking for advice from some experienced metal detectorists. I am planning a vacation to metal detect. My only requirements are warm weather, sand, safety and legality. I don't scuba but am thinking an island beach resort might be productive. I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions (pro's and con's). Thanks!!

florida the treasure coast,, i'll be at wabbasso island soon for 4 weeks all the coin is supposedly there of the wrecks,, warm weather safe enough, just dont put your coil in the water keep it on the beach as some have treasure rights over the wrecks as iam told,, hope you find the right beach and have many good finds,,

Geribay, welcome to the Forum. I would recommend the Disney resort at Wabasso beach.

I highly agree with Wreckdiver! The treasure coast area of Florida's East Coast. Staying at the Disney Resort is pricey
but you can find other places. Check out Captain Hirams Key West Inn in Sebastian(on the web). Nice place with a GREAT outdoor bar on the rivers edge. Also a stone throw from the Mel Fisher Treasure museum. Lots of sand on all the treasure beaches so finding cobs might be difficult, but you can't beat being right in the middle of all that history.
