Finally broke the gold drought....scooped a gold ring today....YEA!!!!

Well after over three weeks without any finds worth posting, I finally broke my gold drought today. I went for a short hunt after work this morning and scooped up this little beauty. It is stamped "ROMNEY 14K" and weighs in at 3.6 grams.

I was looking at the ring again when I realized I had misspelled the Halmark. It is "ROMANY" not "ROMNEY". A little research revealed a little information about the maker. "ROMANY" was a Hallmark used by Stern & Stern of new York, beginning in 1929. I could not find the exact ring but did find other rings from Romany, none newer than 1960's. So as it turns out my ring is also a Vintage ring, possibly as old as the 1930's.
