Iron Mask Question
I ordered an Excalibur, and I am aware of Minelabs Iron Mask, but I just thought about how useful this would be on the beach.
Many nice watches are made of stainless steel, or chrome plated. How does the Excal respond to stuff like this?
I want to maximize my finds to justify the expense, and would rather know going in than learn from hard experience.

Re: Iron Mask Question
Glad to hear it!
Everyone dreams of finding a Rolex, but there are scads of nice, water resistant, stainless watches out there. I dont mind those.

Re: Iron Mask Question
Most watches have brass or other workings inside you should do fine on those.

Re: Iron Mask Question
excalibur will pick up stainless steel in iron mask no problems I found a stainless rolex watch on monday night looked great been in sand for years but had been chomped by sand cleaning machine.I pulled the back off to see whether it was repairable and found it to be a fake it really looked genuine but inside the workings were chinese rubbish.I feel sorry for the original owner maybe he beleived it was a real one and parted with a lot of money. Oh well it gave me a thrill, seeya Neilo
