I'm planing a trip to do some scuba diving along the Rainbow River. The spot we are going to is where the tubers and swimmers are. To be honest I haven't been there yet, just heard about it from friends and looked at videos on youtube of the area. I've been told they don't allow scuba diving in the spring now.....

Is metal detecting aloud? I found one link about metal detecting but it is yes you can maybe you can't site but still with good information. http://www.marioncountyfl.org/Parks/Pr_Policies.aspx

Any advice for the area, also which dive shop in the area might help?

I remember reading that one person posted on here about scuba diving and metal detecting along there but I can't find it now.

Thanks everybody.

I've always heard that you can NOT Md there but I remember reading a couple of posts where the guy said that was where he was hunting. I do not know personally but if you get there and you can...... good luck!
