Southern CA beach finds this morning.
All items found this morning using my Sovereign GT at a +2 tide. Great morning with lots of targets.

Re: Southern CA beach finds this morning.
Did anyone get any old coins down there in So. CA after that heavy NW swell came through last Sat/Sun? Or is all the southern CA beaches shadowed from NW swells by Pt. Conception and the Channel Islands? We got some silver (barbers, merc's, washingtons, etc....) here in Central CA at one of our NW facing beaches.
Metal detecting is my one worldy vice!

Could be a hallucination, but there is an interesting quarter in the pic, that has a touch of black on the embossing details of the coin. I ain't real sharp, but I'd bet my boots that is a silver coin! Wadda ya think mate?

Outstanding finds. You had to have the heart pumping with each signal. That had to be a lot of fun. Keep it up.
Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference. Do your best let God do the rest.

Thanks for mentioning the quarter, I agree it sure looks like silver but sorry to say it is a 1974.

I too am a So Cal hunter and just purchased a Sov GT, it came in Friday. What do you think of it? Up until now I've used the Whites PI Pro and Dual Field with great success. Thought that it's time to try a little discrimination. Any tips and suggestions for setting it up to get started would be greatly appreciated.

If you are going to use it at the beach, I would get me a 15" WOT coil if you don't already have one.
The detector is my favorite, I own a Explorer 11 along with Whites TDI, they are all good but the GT is my favorite. Hip mount it and you can go all day. Good luck
