Not withstanding all the good advice about getting dive certified, but to answer your question, you might consider going to a site like [link deleted] to review their chart on water temperatures, watersport activities and wetsuite temperature limitation recommendations. From what I read they recommend 52 degrees as the lower limit for a 1 piece 7mm suite for scuba diving. Perhaps you might want to start without the Hookah and just do some shallow water hunting in the suit and save the deeper water for warmer weather. I wear a 5/3 Jack and john and with 55 degree water I can comfortably go less than waist deep if the sun is out. Any deeper than that and I just get too cold too fast. I have also been known to do knee deep water with my wetsuit and an insulated wind breaker on top to stay warm. Be safe.
