So I'm in my living room going thru my beach finds from the last few months, getting things a little better organized when I see this large coin type deal. It has some thick crust on it but the crust is very dry. I didn't want to scuff it up if it was a good coin so I got a toothpick. I barely touched it and the whole crust covering it crumbled away, this is what I saw

Cemetery tag or crematory tag, someone wanted that in the water. They say it's bad luck to keep them "swimmers" so back to the beach it went. Right down to the surf, I said a few words and flung that sucker as far as I could.

Since I was already there I decided to hunt for a little bit. Nothing to write home about, the usual junk along with 23 coins for $1.55 :icon_thumright:

Well for throwing it back where it belonged you found a nice little handful of clad and other items. I think you did very well for this time of year. WTG

There is a fellow in LI that pays high doller for beach glass. Hold it if you find it.
