Read an article in the TCPalm about a public meeting with the corps of Idiots. They are proposing more "renourishment" from the power plant south to the county line. gonna use some incompatible crap dredged off the bottom 3 miles offshore.

These fools just don't get it, do they? St. Lucie County is already the poster child for lousy beach material. It's too bad, they do an excellent job of providing beach access to the public.

Seems like the public meeting is in May sometime. When I find it, i'll provide more details.

The beach is OURS, the public, the citizens of Florida and their guests. No matter where you live, we have the right, the RESPONSIBILITY, to protect or natural assets.

Bill,You are not alone on that feeling. They've ruined the beaches
over here too.First with sand pumped from miles out with large
rocks in it.It took them forever to clean that mess up and there
are still some of them left. Now they want to truck the sand in
from over by Lake "O".You're right-they don't learn easily do they.
Good luck on your side.HH Joe

Interesting meeting. I was surprised at how unprepared the presenters were. They had NO information on the quality or make-up of the proposed crap they intended to dump on the beach.

We are well into turtle nesting season. When do they propose to do this?

A good amount of the sand they pumped onto the beach south of Jupiter Inlet earlier this month is already gone! Almost immediately after they added the sand, we got 8-10 days of strong easterly winds which took it right off again.

Dont worry about that.
All the beaches will be destroyed by BP's oil.
And we all will pay at the pump to reimburse them for it.
