Went up north this past week to hunt a long section of Lake Michigan Beach but the lake was too rough, four footers knocking your head off every time you turned around and a whether forecast that was calling for even rougher water. So, we packed up and headed inland to hunt several freshwater beaches the rest of the week. We always find a lot of lead on these beaches but not this trip. In fact, the beaches were really clean. Only one lead sinker in 4 days of hard hunting and that one was real deep. Never had that happen before. Usually come back with a lot of lead but not on this trip. In fact, we hit on very few deep targets. Just goes to show how much better "& deeper" the beaches are getting hunted these days. Pickings are getting really thin out there.

I can relate, I went up to sterling state park in Michigan and after 6 1/2 hrs I had picked up 33 pieces of trash and 1 penny, this was by far the cleanest beach I have seen so far this year.
This was a sat morning at 6am till around 12:30 almost unreal....
