Hi everybody.

Oh yes, the ring is beautiful. Yellow and white 9,9 gr. 18k gold ring. The beautiful ruby, I think 3 carats (11mm x 8 mm), is positive to tester but but but.... it's a synthetic ruby. Oh, yes, I love it anyway... :icon_thumleft:

If it tests positive, how is it synthethic? It looks old to me. I would take it to a jeweler before I jump to conclusions. Great find anyway!
Thank you and thanks everybody.

Good question :icon_thumright:.
The ring is 70s or 80s. So said to me the jeweler who saw it. He said it is synthetic ruby because the colour is too much homogeneous and there are not noticeable inclusions.
The test is positive because the lab created and the natural gems have the same physical properties and both show ruby on the tester.
