Can anyone suggest any Illinois lakes where there used to be old swimming areas that have, since, been closed to swimming? You can e-mail me if you don't want to post a reply.

*Crooked lake
*Lake Villa, Ill- Lots of water to seach!
*Fox lake, Up by "the Mineola? Motel Look it up spooky even rebuilt" at the top of the hill,Used to be a hide-out for the gangsters..They have a Meusium in the hotel to check the stuff they found and ask them about the hauntings they get up in the 2nd and third floor!
*Grass lake
Round lake beach -Which is closed.
*Gray's lake area
*Lake Pistakee
*Crystal lake
Take highway 51/39 all the way down to ILL and go east off 173 .But 173 has a weird turn off just watch the sign and ask the coin collector people at the pay way they will tell you about that weird turn off hopefully!...Fox lake? is on # 59 and you will find the others towns these would be the place to find old stuff but ask permmission they are tuff and people and it's a growing area
It is really different now down there but, I know what it looked like back in the 60-70s. and all the roads too.
