Actually got this earlier this week right after the New Years weekend. I thought I would try the south bay area of La county which I don't hunt much. This is my first time gold in the Hermos-Manhattan Beach area of La County. Trying to hunt low tide in the later afternoon near the Manhattan Beach pier. Ran into an older gentelman using a PI unit asked me to check the sound on my Excalibur of the nice 3 ring type silver looking ring he had found with no markings. Not finding my self much but a little loose change higer up in the wet from where he had been hunting. Moved down towards Hermosa beach pier later just after dark. Another little bit of change in the wet sand so moved higher up into the sand berms near the pier. On the sand bermslope on side of the pier this little guy popped up. Nice 7.5 grams.
