Far, Far Away
The year was amazing for me. I was really lucky in being at the right place at the right time.
I got 61 gold rings at 278.40 grams. Most are 14k. A couple of opals, an emerald and some diamonds.
A couple of chains, a thin bracelet and a grill adding up to 67.3 grams.
The Jade was found while snorkeling.
I didn't keep track of the silver which is always at least a few pounds.
I want to encourage everyone to enjoy this hobby as it does take a lot of patience and hard work...if you call being at the beach working. ;D I estimate finding gold maybe only a third of the times out. The other two thirds are just a day at the beach, which I will never complain about because the experience is always wonderful.
I hope everyone has a good 2011.
Best Regards,
The Crab

Very nice! By my estimates, close to 10 grand between the gold and silver. So what's your next move, safe deposit or a smeltor? Spot on golds been heading south lately but my suspicion is we could see $1500- $2000/oz. in a few years.
You got some real beauties in the bunch there :notworthy: Here's wishing 2011 brings you the same or better fortune.

You did have a great year of hunting. Luck has a lot to do with it, but
also a lot of skill, research and perseverance is involved too. Congrats
