Newby Questions…

How many steps do you take in a 6 hour hunt?
Last week I took 2,759,212 steps. I overlap my sweeps at least 1” on every pass. Don’t want to miss anything!

Does anyone else check their six every 17th step??
Is it wise to dig deeper then 7inches ?

Would it help me be a better Mder if I wore sun glasses? Sometimes I have to squint.

When people ask me what I’m looking for, I tell them petunias, HAHA! HAHA.

Is it O.K. to park near the beach, or should I park further away so the tourists have easier access to the sand?

The folks that I talk to at the beach are nice, but should I trust them?

Is it better to hunt at night or during the day? Would it be better to go when I have more time?

I wear a bathing suit at the beach, does anyone else?

I have only three detectors, should I buy another one?

Last week, I purchased a scoop and it was only .97 cents. Do you think it will last? I sure hope so. The seller said it was made of quality plastic. He also said it would be fine for working neck deep in the water .

I can’t find any stuff, will anyone let me go with them and help me dig some good treasure?

When I find coins and rings, I give them to the lifeguards and tell them that people lost them Please return to the rightful owners.
Did I do the right thing?

Any other tips you might have would be most helpful.

Just too funny. :laughing7:
I don’t take anything to dig with; I just mark the spot for the next guy. Isn’t that what it’s all about?

Funny you should say that, I did find a dirty dime in the wet sand one time, right on the surface, in plain view with a 2' circle drawn around it. I think the person who did it thought I was homeless and might need some help. :laughing7: :laughing7: Maybe I should do that with all my finds just in case the next guy passing by with a $1,000 metal detector is homeless too.
