Well, they usually arent married and usually arent too well off. so I would say no, but class rings could be lost, and gold is gold. I would assume no big diamonds.

Sure and the thing to really not search for is the 24K pull tab Each spring break the colleges issue one to each junior that is going on spring break. The ones that do not lose the pull tab get a B for effort. Usually though most of them are lost meaning that you should set your detector to eliminate pull tabs because finding one of the gold pull tabs is very unlucky and will ensure that you will never find a gold ring for the remaining years that you are detecting. Not to worry though because if you follow the advise in the previous post that will not be too long a wait HH :dontknow:

Well silver used to be a common drop from the college crowd before it doubled in price just over the last year, I would think a HS class ring and designer sunglasses would be the best things you can hope to find.

You could expect to find much more stainless steel jewelry now that it is sold everywhere and cheap to buy.

It's not so much the spring break kids.....they do have gold and silver that they wear......but the spring brings older more well off people to the beach as the water and weather gets warmer.

Here is a schedule of Spring Break for 2011.....March 7 to 18 seems to be the high tide for spring break with almost 4 million people.

February 21-25, 2011 -- 350,000 (University of Ottawa, University of Toronto, University of Calgary, University of Waterloo)
February 28-March 4, 2011 -- 156,000 (Northeastern, U of Michigan, Western Michigan, Western Carolina)
March 7-11, 2011 -- 1,714,927 (Penn State, Université de Montréal, Gonzaga, U of Central Florida, MSU [Michigan], ISU [Illinois], NCSU, U of NC, U of SC, U of SD)
March 14-18, 2011 -- 2,212,500 (ASU, NYU, Purdue, Rutgers, U of Minnesota, U of Massachusetts, Texas Tech, CSU [Colorado], George Mason, ISU [Iowa], Texas A&M, TSU [Texas], U of Georgia, U of Iowa, U of Kentucky, U of Oklahoma, USC, U of Texas, WSU [Washington])
March 21-25, 2011 -- 885,000 (UC Berkeley, Kent State, Clemson, Kansas State, U of Colorado, U of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, U of Oregon, U of Maryland, U of Utah, Columbia)
March 28-April 1, 2011 -- 887,901 (U of Hawaii, CU Boulder, U of Missouri-Columbia)

Come on, there are over 4 million spring breakers, while not all will hit the beaches a huge majority will hit the beaches, drinking and partying, it's been a bad winter up north you do the math. :icon_scratch:

After further consideration forget what I posted, I was wrong, DON'T KNOW WHAT I WAS THINKING..... :icon_scratch:

NO ONE WILL LOSE ANYTHING, THEY DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOLD, EVERYONE STAY AWAY FROM THE BEACHES IN FLORIDA...... :laughing7:

10's of thousands of man eating sharks have been spotted in shallow water off the coast of all of Florida's beaches, with reports of some even coming ashore and dragging people in the water..... STAY AWAY! ;D

One thing about Spring Breakers, they are active and drink. Many wear gold chains . Horse Playing, doing flips in the water causing chains and jewelry to come off.

STAY AWAY! ;D
I have put a claim in with the state of Florida for all the beaches in Florida. I now own all the lost rings and anything else in the sand. So don't get caught using a metal detector on the beach, because I own the rights. They will have aircraft and boats watching to make sure that no one violates my claim! But I will sell a license to you for $3K to be able to detect on any beach in Florida. ;D Those sharks coming ashore are being paid by me to enforce my claim. The sharks pay is a nice lunch.....being anyone on the beach.

Hey, if the Mel Fisher guys can get a claim in the water, I can do it on land!

PS...I really don't own a claim so don't send me any money.....unless you really want to.
