Not always easy finding gold...

There is a lot of digging that goes into finding gold. This is the last 3 days of hunts. I go out for 3 to 4 hours at a time, usually in the early morning. I don't usually post all the crap I dig, nor do I usually post silver rings. I figured I would show the amount of targets I dig to find gold. The ring is 14k and weighs 6gr. It was in the water waist deep.

Thanks,
Chris

If that is only one days hunt (3-4 hours) I'd say you did very well indeed! Congrats on the gold and the others are not bad either! WTG

Well I certainly didn't read your post very well. You said that is for 3 days hunts but still.... darn good finds!

Nice going Chris!! I remember just a few years ago when we had that many targets to dig when we hunted. Not anymore, but at least the beaches are getting clean with all of the hunting activity.

Thanks for sharing your hunts.

Nice post! Congrats on the Gold and Silver too. :hello2: :hello2: :hello2:

Seems like a few dry sand finds too ... right?

For me it works out to about a ring (either Silver or Gold within about 8 or 9 days) .. and about every 5th (non junk) ring is Gold. And that's about 2 hours a day. I only do the dry and wet sand no real water hunting. The average gets better in summer and a bit worse in winter. I've also "found" some secret spots that give me older winter Silver, rings and coins with a rare Gold ring.
