Here are some photo's I took today!

1st photo is at the Wabasso Beach right behind the disney resort looking south.
2nd photo is same. Note different levels of sand, with the fill being high on the
beach! Drop off from walking down to the beach was considerable.
3rd photo is at Sea Grape Trail looking south. Beach looked like a bunch of humps
along the sand water line.

All Photo;s were taken around 3:30pm with the tide going out (high tide was at 1:15pm!) Fill Sand was obvious and high on the beach near the dunes with what looked like 3 different levels, and the beach appearing to have continous humps in it with the high humps maybe 2 feet higher then the lower.
Have some other photo's of the drop off's but files are to large to load here!

Re: Wabasso Beach Florida

Here are some other photo that we took today! Hope they help!

1st photo is at Turtle Trail looking South. Area was same with what looked like
continous humps in the sand along the water line.
2nd photo Turtle Trail Looking North toward Sea Grape Trail
3rd photo is of what appears to be a treasure ship right on the reed off of Turtle
trail. Boat had twin Mailboxes and divers in the water.

You should be able to note the humps in the sand at the water line, which were anywhere from a foot to two foot higher then the low side of the humps. Any idea what causes this?
And is this the beginning of a cut in the sands??

Re: Wabasso Beach Florida

Just figured out how to decrease the size of the photo's so I can post them.

1st photo is at the Seagrape Area looking up fron the water line (Wife).
2nd Photo is showing the drop off at the seagrape entrance from the public
parking area to the beach. (lloking south)
3rd photo is the stairs at Sea Grape entrance to beach. You can see how much
of a drop off there is now. So for those who saw it last month you can compare.
Wife at top of steps! (7 weeks from quad by-pass and doing great)

Wow, these photos are great to see! The beach is now so eroded that these hotels have multiple flights of wooden stairs going down. I found like 50 pieces of can slaw, but not much more. I would have expected people were digging every target at a place like this.

Might want to check the date of the post. Looks like these pictures were from 2006.
