I've posted before about an old beach I like to search. I've been back many times since my last post about it so I thought I'd give an update. I haven't posted in a while so this collection is months in the making. Pickings there these days are getting slim. I don't usually get skunked there but sometimes I'm lucky to find a just single coin or lead weight. I work the sand and at low tide I work the muck.

First the gold. There's two 18K bands I believe have some age to them. The larger has several hallmarks I don't know what they mean.
The smaller looks to have 1881 in older style script engraved. The school ring is Sterling.

Two 10k child size rings, an initial ring and what I think is a Girl Scout ring.

Lead figures someone told me were Cracker Jack toys from maybe the 1920's or 30's.

Some misc. stuff. Just a sample, there are many more spoons, fishing lead, scraps of copper, and religious medals, a knife and a watch band. I found about a dozen various medals together in one hole about ten inches down, almost like they were purposely buried there.

Coins...A couple pounds worth, mostly pennies but some silver as well. I didn't count the pennies yet, but I'll post a sample.

There's maybe 30 wheaties and a dozen Indians there. Also my first large cent, no date. Most of the coins are in horrible shape.

Silver coins...
A Barber half and two Walking Liberty; 3 SL quarters including a decent 1917 type 1, 9 Washingtons, 1 Barber;
Dimes...8 barber, 11 Mercs and 7 Roosies. Then there's 4 Liberty V nickles and 16 Buffaloes, some with readable dates and 1 War nickel. Finally a couple of modern foreign coins and an 1850's era copper Napolean Cinq Centimes almost worn flat. The obverse is gone and the reverse margainally recognizable.

I plan on selling the silver for melt value, that's all they're worth. The gold I'm temped as well but I'm holding off for now. Almost a shame to ruin something that old, but I could always use the money.

Thanks. I went back yesterday, we had a big blow over the wekend, moved the sand all over the place. I hit two small areas that I'd hit pretty hard before and right away picked up some lose change including a 1918 D Merc, a War nickel and some modern stuff.
A little ways down another 1918 D Merc. And at each spot I found what looks like Large cents but are so green encrusted I have to clean them up to be sure. If that's what they turn out to be, that would make three from there.
Pickings had been slow there recently, amazing what a good blow will do for a beach area.
