A very handy little toy this--my last one saw a lot of gold on it untill I ungratefully drove away and left it at a beach. Note the cut front notch for your scoop, handle goes through the back.
A few pointers:
-the side mesh is for eaves, sold in small rolls. The wider stuff comes in large expensive rolls that will be a lot more than you need. It's too fragile for the middle and will deteriorate as your scoop hits it.
-the center mesh is from a "liche fruit" basket--they're around. Cut out the bottom but save the small side mesh sections for patches--it does not last in mineralized water.
-when you cut your "zip" ties, use a serrated knife. If you just nip them off they leave a sharp edge that will need to be filed smooth.
-not shown is a lanyard--get a goodl one from a climbing store--cheap ones don't last.
-if you can get a speciallty bread rack--they are lighter to carry.
-use the largest diameter noodles you can find--they will support more than one basket.

Use mine in any water conditions that I can stand and it usually does way better than I do. I would suggest adding a decoy weight on about 6 ft of light rope. attach it to sifter, throw over and let it drag. it will keep the sifter from crowding you and if you can see the bottom it leaves drag marks so you can see where you've been. I have to give credit where do, the anchor is Cupajo's brain child. I also clip my sifter to my scoop and set it on my shoulder for transport.

JMHO :-)

Steve :-)
