Bleakness at the beach today; clads, sinkers, and one that didn't make it

back out to the water.
Foggy , damp conditions at the beach this morning. Got out for 1 1/2 hrs. before the rain came pouring down....where ,oh where is that sunshine? :icon_sunny:

Not much, but it was refreshing to get out there; hunted the shoreline while Hank scouted for golf balls at an adjacent Golf Course.

Here's some pics.

Thanks for looking

Lorraine

Yes, I take them to a local scrap metal dealer.

Re: Bleakness at the beach today; clads, sinkers, and one that didn't make it

When I was a kid, MANY years ago, we could catch horseshoe crabs in freshwater ponds just a mile from home.
Were semi terrified of the things even though they were only a couple of inches long.
That thing of yours would have given me nightmares.

As for the sinkers... cherish them! Lead is going up all the time, I pick up literally hundreds of pounds, if not a thousand pounds or so every year. Along with brass, copper, aluminium and stainless steel that I detect.... this scrap metal more than pays for my gas money.
Modern currency is a welcome bonus, (anywhere from $5 to $50 a day), and then there's the good stuff!

Love this hobby!

Lou.
