After Les's nice find on that beautiful bracelet and the hunter with Garrett Sea Hunter that could not get a signal on the bracelet had me worried..I just bought a Sea Hunter last week. I took of few of my small chain finds and a couple of my wife's small chains and did a few air tests. I am happy to report that the Sea Hunter hit on all of the chains except her hair thin 14k ankle bracelet, but my Excalibur doesn't hit on that one either.
The guy with the Sea Hunter must have had it setup totally wrong or there is something wrong with his unit. Whew!... I can breath easier now about using the Sea Hunter, it hit on several of my chains at a fairly good depth on an air test. I will forgo hair thin chains to have the 14 inch coverage the larger coil allows.
