Met a "NYC Police Sergeant at the beach this morning...6" in the sand..

Well...almost

I found his badge...plus clads, another bullet, a 1952"wheatie", and an old metal button.

Not sure what is the metallic component of the badge; I know it is not gold, but it sure looked good shining in that sun.

It's on its way to the NYC Police Badge Dept...to be returned to its owner

Here's some pics.

Thanks for looking

Lorraine

Nice badge, is it marked U.S. Badge Co. on the back?

Nothing on the back...except for evidence that there was, at one time, something soldered onto the back...maybe a clasp or pin :help:

That is very interesting,diggummup

The badge that I found is solid and weighs 11.84 grams.

Here's a couple more pics.

Maybe this is just a replica...I phoned the NYC Police Dept. to discuss it with them...they will check on the badge number.

L,

Love the Badge! I think not sure, but I knew someone who collected war medals and stuff and a real police badge (especially a New York Sergeant) with a low number is worth some cash!!!! That being said your good nature and karma will be paying off soon!!!! :icon_sunny:

Thants an awesome badge would love to find one of those. Surprising someone would lose one of those.

The thing that has 1.25 on it is a wheel weight of of a car wheel that is used to balance it
