I'm moving to Australia...

Any advise on the best way to take an Excaliber on the plane? Also anyone down there know the best place to buy a sand scoop?

When I have taken a detector on plane I take the control box off and carry it in my hand luggage.At least then you know it isnt going to get knocked around. With the Excalibur I would definitely do that.If it was carted in the hold of the plane what pressures would it experience?What would happen to the seals if it was in a low pressure envirament, would they pop ? I have always shown the security bag check people what I am carting with me and have had no problems. So you are coming to my neck of the woods hope you find plenty, but remember we dont have a huge population here and your finds probably wont be as good or as plentiful as in the US. good luck seeya Neilo
