I get discouraged when I'm hunting where someone has already been digging. You just showed it doesn't matter.

I once got a signal in a hole already dug and got a nice class ring. Some people do not recheck the holes and some miss a good signal by inches. If I were to worry about other people digging and detecting I might as well stay home.

Nice find Les! :icon_thumright: Can I ask which detector you were using? I am still considering adding an excalibur 2 to my arsenal of weapons even with all the service problems. Thanks.

I am using my NY Excal with the Seasearch coil. It is super sensitive and hot on small items. I compared it to the Excal2 and find 2:1. On the cruise we would have done bettet wit the Aqua Sound but we didn't know if it was going to be rough, the coil is heavy and not comfortable on wet sand.
