So, you have 2 separate floats then for the dredge and the hookah...nice. Would appreciate any information you can give on the manufacturers of the dredge and the hookah. :notworthy:

As one that has used hookah and dredges in the past you now have to do some research with the DNR on the use of dredges on area lakes and rivers. I don't know about saltwater but for freshwater most states require a permit or face extra heavy fines because of the harm to fish spawning. They just don't want us to have fun. One guy I knew used a dredge at a popular freshwater swim area and left deep trenches in shallow water. Michigan DNR nailed him for damage to the state park beach and a few other violations. The impounded his equipment, detector and pickup. I don't know what happened after that. Just check with your state...........

I just thought this was more like real work........

As cool as this this, and make no mistake, it's cool, i just don't see it working on NJ's beaches ,with steep faced waves. Maybe with an onshore wind/outgoing tide, mild conditions. Past that, looks like a very effective way to treasure hunt.
