i have been metal detecting for about a week now and am hopelessly addicted, while at work all i do is daydream about being in the water finding treasures. heres some pics of all my stuff, nothing of too much value but the more junk i pull out the more treasure remains. The metacarpal has been verified as human by a radiologist. i also found a vertebrae. however, the transverse process has been broken off so im not sure if its cervical or thoracic. if i find more bones i think im going to contact the police.

With DNA testing today, you do need to report human remains. It could help to identify a victim and solve a case. Interesting hunt, all other things aside. Ralph

Ditto - let the police check it out. No one just *loses* a finger. Then let us know what they find!
