Hello all!

Talk about a fish out of water... or a land shark in water ??? I am normally found on land with my Minelab E-Trac hauling up silver or coppers...

but... I did purchase a White's Surf PI Dual Field... So... Gain @ 3pm... Delay @ 7pm... and Threshhold 11am range...

I meet up with a fellow detectorist from our club just past 5pm on the shore... It was low 80's, blue sky, and warm water :-)

90 minutes in with the tide moving out I was working a small cut where the waves were breaking and nabbed some sterling .925...

Re: Noobsauce 1st beach hunt..

congratulations on some nice finds . I clean my siver rings the same way, however I hesitate to do that if the rings have stones or diamonds fearing damage. Has anyone tried this method with rings that have stones or diamonds . If you have , how were the results?

Man that is one nice batch of "Surf Salad". I do like the ring though and it cleaned up great. :icon_thumleft:

Okay.. I've done the reverse electrolysis thing on my silver jewelry, but this is the first I have heard of the "tinfoil-baking soda-boil" thing, and I am intrigued.. Please share with the group as to how this all works...

Thanks in advance and HH
