You have to look through the clear control tube, on the underside....you will be able to see a serial number on the bottom of circuit board.

Don't feel bad, I couldn't find it either until I called Minelab.

Yeah I tried the two numbers there and the web registration kicked them back out saying they were not in the database? Looks like I may be calling as well.

Let me ask you this. Is it the little blue sticker or the white one? The white one has a longer number with a dash.

Will have to call Minelab. Even those #'s on the box come up "Not found in Database"

I just used this thread to find the serial number on my control unit. I got an excal 2 days ago and was too stubborn to call in to find out. Thanks for asking the question. I found mine on the box it came in. Should be a 6-7 digit alphanumeric number. Hope you find yours soon!

Had to call mine in when I got my new Excalibur II last month as I had the same problem with the on line registration not excepting the numbers from the box. They told me some times the data base doesn't pick up all the numbers, so they registered mine on the phone for me. Rick :coffee2:

The problem you are having is because minelab sux at adding to their database. I bought my excal 2 over 2 months ago and the site still will not except my numbers.

Call them Toll Free 1-888-949-6522. They will register it over the phone. I had the same problem and I called them and they took it right over the phone. They are not hard to work with. Rick :coffee2:

Same thing happened to me numbers not in database. I e-mailed them never heard back tried a week later and they were there. Pretty crappy system.

Also the stop on my threshold knob broke about a week after I had it. Looked online and that seems to happen all the time. I am waiting til the end of the season to contact minelab, because I don't want to be without the excall for any extended period of time.
