Decided to continue saving our clad for the Minelab Excalibur as so many of you guys recommended. Still want a Surf. PI as well but that can wait on several more jars of found clad. South Maui very dry and storm free since April or before, a good swell a couple weeks ago did remove 18 inches of sand tho, brought up some very corroded clad and misc. Sterling seems to be the metal of choice here: our gold consists of three gold plated earrings,,,no matchups of course.

Where in South Maui do you live? I used to live in Lahaina.
Those were the days. I was not into detecting while I was there....
I am real interested in things you may have found there.
How about any beach glass?

We're in Kihei, probably 6 miles of beach broken by old lava flows and WWII rockpiles from ordinance practice. Very few TH's here, a few who keep the dry sand ell swept but I've seen ) in the water altho I hear there are some. I'm researching the huge WWII bivouac areas and training areas; gotta be some good stuff there. Already found the old ammo dump sites....yahooo !
