Of your long handled scoop. (don't blame me, I only to you to the edge...you jumped off.).

Anyway, I'm curious on the length of your long handled scoop and why it is the that length? Is that what the hardware store had or did you have your handle made, did you make any modifications, if so can we see them.

51" from the bucket to the top of the handle. I bought it about 15 years ago from Ralph Tanner in Lakeland Florida. As you can see it needs to have a new tip welded onto it but other then that it's perfect for me. I'm pretty sure it has a 7" bucket. Anytime a target is deep the other hunters ask me to bring the backhoe over. It's made of aircraft aluminum and it's about 5 pounds so it's not the lightest one on the market but I have never had a problem with it's weight. It's big, has a long shaft and goes deeeeep ;D It's compatible to the beach brute but not quire as big. :icon_pirat:

Dale Polk made those scoops. He had a fabrication shop near Cape Kennedy.I still have mine and so do several other hunters I know who bought them about 15 yrs. ago. Excellent scoops!

Thanks for the input. I'm looking into making some custom handles. I have some ideas, I was just wondering how long of a handle people prefered
